Indian Head Massage

indian head massage therapyIndian Head Massage (also called Champissage) is a favourite form of massage in India and is based on ancient Ayurvedic techniques which have been practiced for over a thousand years.

It’s said that Ghandi himself had a daily massage, believing that it boosted his energy levels whilst also keeping him in touch with his spiritual mind.

The massage is generally carried out with the client seated in a chair whilst specific massage techniques are applied to the shoulders, neck, arms, head and face. The treatment can be performed with or without the use of oils and also with a minimum amount of clothing removed.

If you would like to see research papers for trials into the efficacy of Indian Head Massage,  please click here, where we have listed links to trial papers under the headings of various conditions.
