After Care Advice
For Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage:
In order to obtain the best results from an Aromatherapy and/or Indian Head Massage, the following are not recommended for 24 hours after treatment:
- Alcohol
- Coffee
- Tea (unless herbal)
- Chocolate
- Fizzy Drinks
- Cordials
- Hot Spicy Foods
- Smoking
A light, cleansing diet is advised (NB: a healthy diet is particularly important if hair is in poor condition), with plenty of mineral water and a stress-free 24 hours … if possible!
Please do try and leave any oils on your skin for at least 12 hours (overnight) - this allows the best opportunity for the oils to be absorbed into the skin. The only exception to this would be in the unlikely event of any skin irritation occurring, in which case, wash the oils off immediately and let me know.
For Hopi Ear Candling:
You may experience some temporary side effects, particularly with your first treatment. For example:
- nasal or throat congestion, including mucus discharge
- headache
- runny nose
- dry throat/mouth
- itchy ears
- increased urination or bowel movement
- increased energy levels
Over the next 24-48 hours, you can help alleviate some of these symptoms and assist your body’s cleansing process by following the advice below:
- drink plenty of water
- reduce caffeine/alcohol intake
- eat light meals
- listen to your body – rest if you feel tired, take a walk if you feel an energy boost, but be careful not to over exert
